HAPPY JUNETEENTH!!! I am so glad the USA decided to make this a national holiday, and even gladder that it fell on a Wednesday. I desperately needed a midweek break. Lucas and I set out early for BBQ in Redhook, Brooklyn—a very out-of-the-way neighborhood that we’ve heard lots about. The scorching sun and a line that wrapped around the block still did not reduce how worth it this was. The Best BBQ in New York is Hometown Bar-B-Que.
Just now waking up from a food coma and it’s 4:48 pm. We got back at 1.
Moving on, I wanted to share some Proverbs below that really gagged me this morning—and by gagged I mean the good kind (To be amazed or stunned by someone or a situation of some kind). I am catching up on my chronological Bible plan and read 9 chapters of Proverbs this morning. The verses below were my favorite.
I used to go to school in Red Hook!
